Folios 241-242: [Sir] Thomas Williams, Ryde, Isle of Wight. In response to the Admiralty's request to know what happened to the treasure shipped on board HMS Vanguard by Messrs. Wayne and Brown at Lisbon, he reports that when HMS Vanguard rejoined the squadron off Cadiz, he was instructed by Sir Charles Pole to put the treasure on board HMS Millbrook schooner commanded by Lieutenant Starck for the purpose of it being conveyed to Gibraltar.
