Captured ship: Trowe of Flushing (master Arthur Soansbecke otherwise Soansbeake [Anthony Sonnesbeck]).
History: a Dutch merchant ship, laden with wine; taken on 10/20 March 1671/1672 by HMS Mary Rose (William Davies commanding) and brought into Portsmouth on 17/27 March 1671/1672, where the crew ran away for fear of imprisonment the following day, the master boasting first that they had a new and better ship waiting in Flushing.
