Description

Captured ship: St Peter of Enkhuizen otherwise St Peter of Vlieland (master Baren Cornelius).

History: a Dutch merchant ship, bound from Cherbourg to Amsterdam via Vlieland, laden with glass and ballast; taken on 28 April off Dover by HMS Richmond (Naphtali Ball commanding) and brought into Portsmouth.

Court Papers, numbered CP 1-2:-

  • [CP 1]: examinations taaken at Portsmouth, 8 May 1672;
  • [CP 2]: (copy of above, unsigned by examinees).
