Description

Captured ship: St Peter of Amsterdam (master unknown) [or perhaps St Peter of Friedrichstadt]. See HCA 32/1951/16, as this may perhaps be the same ship.

History: a Dutch merchant ship, laden with raisins and wines; taken or seized on unknown date [before 2/12 April 1672] by unknown captor and brought into London [before 2/12 April] 1672.

Court Papers, numbered CP 1-2:-

  • [CP 1]: note (Prize Office to Jenkins) on cargo, 2 April 1672;
  • [CP 2]: affidavit as to the perishing nature of the cargo, 2 April 1672.
