Folios 241-242: Henry Waring, HMS Serapis, Barbados. Petition giving an account of the capture of the French ship La Julie which he found in Carlisle Bay on his arrival having been captured by HMS Diligent, HMS Dart, HMS Ann and HMS Princess Amelia on the Coast of Africa, including a libel action against David Marshall, Master of HMS Diligent, who petitioned John Alleyne Beckles, sole Judge of the Court of the Vice Admiralty here and the matter the plunder taken from the French ship without a marque or commission to do so and his request for appropriate remuneration for his actions.
Folioi 243: enclosure in folios 241-242. Unsigned note dated 15 May [1804]. No steps can be taken until a decision has been taken on the appeal.
