History: a Dutch-Brandenburg merchant ship (300 tons/127 lasts, share claimed by French merchant), bound from St Martin de Ré to Danzig (thence to Riga or Konigsberg), laden with salt; taken on 7/17 March 1671/1672 west of the Isle of Wight by HMS Gloucester (John Holmes commanding), and brought into Portsmouth on 11/21 March 1671/2 by HMS Mary Rose (Davis commanding).
