Description

Folios 502-503: William Wilkinson, HMS Gorgon, the Nore. Information on 3 Apprentices. William Newton had indentures that were not valid and since then has volunteered to be entered on HMS Gorgon. David Delfers and John Grant McPherson were impressed because Men were needed to get the ship to the Nore and their ages were above the established age for Apprentices.

Folios 504-505: enclosure with folios 502-503. William Coppin, Owner of the Joseph, Collier, North Shields to the Admiralty. Asks for the discharge of David [Telfer?] and John Grant McPherson who were impressed and have protection. He encloses the indentures.

Folios 506-507: enclosure with folios 502-503. John Johnson on behalf of Mr. Downing and other Owners of the Princess Royal, Gravesend, Passage boat employed between London and the Nore.9 Austin Friars. 1st July 1803. To the Admiralty. Asks for the discharge of William Newton, Apprentice.
