Folios 252-253: [James Athol] Wood, HMS Acasta, Guernsey Roads. Encloses a letter from General Doyle stating it is not normal for seamen to be impressed in this Road. Asks for directions to impress men from ships that are inward bound as several boats recently sailed to Plymouth who will pass on information that an impress had taken place. Advises HMS Camilla has sailed for Jersey. The packet sails once a week from the Island.
Folios 254-255: enclosure with folios 252-253. Letter dated 11 March 1803 by General Doyle, Guernsey to Captain Wood. About the lack of custom of pressing English seaman in the Roads or at the pier.
