Folios 293-294: James Wallis, HMS Naiad, Liverpool. Responding to the letter with directions to sail for Plymouth in case the Rambler sloop had not arrived. The Rambler has arrived and he is sending a report on her state and condition. He has put on board the Rambler 97 raised men and given the Captain orders to proceed to Plymouth. He mentions again the fact that the Naiad can only sail over the Bar at Spring tides. The delay will enable him to add more men on board before sailing to Plymouth. PS. The wind has changed and the Pilot will not take the Rambler out that day.
