Folios 262-263: James Wallis, HMS Naiad, Bristol. Responds to the purchase of slops. These were taken on board at Plymouth but had not asked permission from the Navy Board. Regarding the purchase of beds, he had written for permission for these to be supplied and when agreed, had advised the Purser who purchased 60 of a superior quality. He apologises for not complying with the proper system.
