Folios 204-205: J. Waller. Port Captain, New Romney. Captain Eagle of the Sea Fencibles asks for leave. He is enclosing a letter from Captain Eagle and a certificate of Lieutenant Robert’s. They are both ill. The former’s complaint is unknown and has only the advice of an ignorant country Apothecary and the latter has a certificate from a medical man.
Folio 206: enclosure with folios 204-205. Letter dated 3 October 1803 by John Kidston, Surgeon, Hythe. Certifies that Lieutenant Roberts of the Sea Fencibles has an intermittent fever and needs a change of air to recover his health.
Folio 207-208: enclosure with folios 204-205. Letter dated 11 October 1803 by Captain Harry Eagle of the Sea Fencibles, Lydd. Asks for leave to seek medical advice in London. He has severe stricture and chronic rheumatism and hopes to return to duty.
