Folios 169-170: Sir Evan Nepean, Admiralty Office to Thomas Wallbeoff (Regulating Captain) Poole. Is enclosing the application and affidavit from George Garland concerning the discharged of James Allen, Master of Hero of Poole who was impressed and taken aboard the Tender.
Folios 171-172: enclosure with folios 169-170. Letter dated 28 December 1803 by George Garland, Poole. Is enclosing a certificate concerning one of the Mates employed by Mr. Spurrier's Newfoundland vessel the Hero. Captain Wallbeoff refuses to liberate the man without directions from the Admiralty.
Folio 173: enclosure with folios 169-170. Letter dated 28 September 1803 by Francis Bradshaw JP. Purin, Newfoundland. James Allen Master of the Hero and stated on oath and signed the document confirming Samuel Mifflin is the Mate of the Hero and has responsibility for the vessel's merchandise.
