Folios 188-189: Thomas Whitby, Portsea, Lion Place. Regarding his previous request for the command of a sloop, he also applied to Earl St Vincent who directed Mr Parker to reply that his request should go to the Board of Admiralty. He now repeats his application in case his first one did not reach the Board.
