Folios 43-44: James Walker, HMS Isis, Sheerness. Acknowledges Mr. Marsden's letter of the 1st appointing him Captain of HMS Tartar at Chatham. He has sent Lieutenant Wallace to put her into commission and requests permission to join the ship before his successor arrives, so that he may superintend her study equipment.
