Captured ship: Honesty of Plymouth (master Richard Davis; prize master unknown).
History: an English merchant ship, bound from Falmouth to Charente to load wine and salt; taken on 30 January/9 February 1672/1673 about 20-30 leagues south of Belle Isle, after a 7-8 hour chase, by the 8-gun Dutch privateer Ter Goes of Flushing (David Foucke-Heers-Deal commanding), and sent in for Flushing, but on 4/14 February 1672/1673 was forced by bad weather, contrary winds and shortage of provisions into Mount's Bay, Cornwall, there anchored and surrendered to the one remaining crewman who brought the prize crew ashore in a boat and asked St Aubyn [captain of St Michael's Mount] for help in bringing the ship to St Michael's Mount pier, which was done on the morning of 6/16 February; later seized by St Aubyn for the Lord High Admiral.
