Description

Captured ship: Katherine of London (master Robert Scotting [otherwise Scotten]).

History: an English merchant ship, laden with sugar, indigo and ginger; [seized by 13/23 September 1672 at Falmouth].

Court Papers, numbered CP 1-4:-

  • [CP 1]: claim of Robert Scotting;
  • [CP 2]: (duplicate of above, endorsed 27 September 1673);
  • [CP 3]: claim of Moses Perera;
  • [CP 4]: wrapper [added from HCA 32/1954/4 in 2024].

Extra information: see IND 1/9012 f.46v: ship and some goods restored 2 October 1672, some goods later restored [no date given].
