Captured ship: St John Evangelist of Ostend (master John Bockhusius, otherwise Bockhusios).
History: a Flemish (Spanish Netherlands) merchant ship, [bound from Corunna to Ostend], laden with Virginia tobacco, lead, pickled pepper and chestnuts; taken [before 27 November/7 December 1672 off Corunna by the privateer Revenge (John Aden commanding) and brought into Dover.
