Description

Captured ship: St John Evangelist of Bremen, otherwise Evangelist St Johannes (master Hendrick Lubbers of Bremen).

History: a Bremen merchant ship, [bound either from Bremen to Nantes in ballast, or from Nantes to Bremen laden with wine and brandy]; taken by 5/15 April 1673.

Court Paper, numbered CP 1:-

  • [CP 1]: pass in German and Latin, for a voyage from Bremen to Nantes in ballast, and to return Nantes to Bremen with wine and brandy, 27 February 1673.
