The Pension Protection Fund's (PPF's) Investment Committee was established as a Committee of the Board in 2005, under the Pensions Act 2004. The Board authorises the Committee to discharge certain investment functions on its behalf, including developing and reviewing the PPF's and the Fraud Compensation Fund's (FCF's) investment principles and strategy; developing and maintaining the PPF's responsible investment policies; approving and having oversight of the appointment, retirement and contractual review of fund managers and investment advisers; and monitoring overall risk of the investment portfolio and that investment risks remain within appetite.
