Folios 294-295: Thomas Wolley, HMS Arethusa, Frouville [Grouville] Bay, Jersey. Reports he has nearly destroyed two cables one of which was cut. As this is a general complaint from vessels obliged to anchor at Jersey and as there is a complete set of Chain Moorings laying at Saint Herbins? ready to lay down, submits if they were layed down in about 5 fathoms at low water in the Bay of Saint Helliers they might not prove very serviceable for Frigates and other vessels obliged to lay there with a saving on cables and anchors.
