Description

Folios 245-246: Charles Wollaston, HMS Cruizer, Yarmouth Roads. Reports that Wilkinson Foster was taken on board HMS Cruizer on the 5 March 1800 and that the Master of the ship never produced any protection to the Lieutenant who took him. The man has volunteered and has been entered on the Ship's Books.

Folios 247-248: enclosure with folios 245-246. Michael Henley, Wapping 23 March 1800. Request the discharge of Wilkinson Foster a Seaman mentioned in the enclosed protection.

Folios 249-250: enclosure with folios 245-246. Protection Certificate for 11 Men and Boys on the Neptune of London (214 Tons) Dated 13 January 1800. (Names with descriptions:- John Burdon [struck through], George Wheatley, John Barrow, Wilkinson Foster, William Robson, John Burdon, George Newson, Thomas Young, Daniel Dillon, John Bage and David Shepard [struck through].

Folios 251-252: enclosure with folios 245-246. Robert Pearsory, Plymouth. 8 March 1800 to Mr Henley. States his safe arrival last night but on Wednesday he had one of his men impressed by Captain Walison [Wollaston] of HMS Cruizer. I hope you will be able to get clear as he is a good man.
