Description

Folio 37, Lambeth Street.

Information: Theft of a double canvas purse containing 10 sovereigns and 10 shillings in silver, Hope's Place, Whitechapel Road, victim: Mr. Joseph Harman.

John Murphy, accused of stealing a half sovereign, victim: John Cohen, outcome: Committed for trial.

William Stone and James Suthmier, accused of stealing one gown and other articles, victim: Patrick Newman, outcome: Committed for trial.

John Lane, accused of Intent to commit felony; reputed thieves, outcome: Committed to the House of Correction for two months.

Reported crime: Theft of a small mahogany box containing earthware and wearing apparel; a number of gowns; child-bed linen; two teapots; two chamber pots; several children's mugs; other articles of crockery-ware and apparel, victim: Mr. Thomas Bates, Whitechapel Road, between Aldgate pump and the end of the Minories.

Reported crime: Theft of a black leather portmanteau containing apparel, printed books and papers, and two small bundles of linen, Old Broad Street, reward or information: Mr. Grey, Mansion House; 10 pounds reward on conviction and recovery; 5 guineas for papers only.

Reported crime: Theft of two table spoons, two dessert spoons, two large and three small forks, Upton, Essex, victim: Mrs. Hodgkinson, reward or information: 20 pounds reward on conviction.
