Folios 329-330: Thomas Wolley, York. Complaining of the roads being very bad - he is unsure how much leave he has, and has had to spend too much time already to get to York with two delays. He will try to get back to town in time, but notes he cannot visit his brother Isaac, as the road between Hull and York is impassable. Also notes that his mother is very ill, he doesn't know if she should have an operation or not, and she herself seems inclined just to continue with her current regime, hoping it will prevent further deterioration until 'some less terrible disorder removes her.'
