Folios 236-237: Isaac Wolley, HMS Nonsuch, Sheerness. Responding to a letter from the Admiralty, says that Mr Bartholomew Nelson, a distant relation of Lord Nelson, has behaved 'with propriety' since he has been under his command. However, as the young man had never been at sea with him and has been out of the service several years before coming to the Nonsuch, he can give no information as to his abilities as a seaman or an officer. A note below says B. Nelson entered on board the Nonsuch on 8 July 1798.
