Folios 174-175: The Hon Philip Wodehouse, HMS Volage, Hamoaze. Has received a letter from the Admiralty asking him when he sails, to leave behind such evidence as he has to substantiate the charges made against the cook and the boatswain of the Musette hulk. Advises that this would mean leaving behind the only lieutenant who has so far joined the ship, the boatswain and only good petty officer, which would potentially distress the ship, since she is already badly manned and going to a foreign station.
