A private letter from [the Earl of] Buckingham to Lord [Viscount Weymouth] concerning an application for the purchase of a company by Cornet Lord Henry Fitzgerald, which is sought by his brother the Duke of Leinster. The present succession proposals, which allow a lieutenancy for him, should please the Duke. Mr [John] French, Buckingham's page, is also provided for in this list [as a prospective lieutenant]. Dated at Dublin Castle.
