Description

Folios 251-254. A letter from [the Earl of] Buckingham to Viscount Weymouth concerning men of General Burgoyne's army who have arrived at Charles Fort [Cork, Muster], approving arrangements to quarter them. Dated at Dublin Castle. Enclosing: Folios 253-254: [General Sir] J [John] Irwine to John Hamilton Esquire, dated at Royal Hospital [Kilmainham near Dublin]. Colonel Maunsell has advised of the arrival from New York of 9 sergeants, nine corporals, four drummers and 21 private men, who are not prisoners, and who are to remain in Ireland until the King's pleasure is known. General [Flower] has sent a route to march them to Cork.
