Folios 247-248. A letter from [the Earl of] Buckingham to Viscount Weymouth concerning a deficiency in the stock purse fund of the 1st Horse, caused by the bankruptcy of the regiment's agent [Captain Desbrisay]. The King has recommended that the matter be redeemed with the sale of the first Cornetcy arising vacant in the regiment, as a means of reimbursing the regimental colonel, General Johnston. He has passed orders on to Johnston and to the Commander-in-chief [General Sir John Irwine]. Dated at Dublin Castle.
