Folios 233-234. A letter from [the Earl of] Buckingham to Viscount Weymouth concerning successions arising in the 81st Foot with the death of Lieutenant Colonel John Gordon. Recommends he be succeeded by Major Robert Farquhar of 32d Foot; that Farquhar be succeeded by Captain Edmund Strachan of the 66th Foot; that Strachan be succeeded by Captain Henry Bowyer of 19th Foot; that Bowyer be succeeded by Lieutenant Ralph Hanson of 66th Regiment. Dated at Dublin Castle.
