Folios 231-232. A letter from [the Earl of] Buckingham to Viscount Weymouth concerning an under-aged commission. Lieutenant Thomas Ahmuty Daniel of 68th Foot says he is just 13 years-old, according to the report of Major General [Lancelot] Baugh and the commander-in-chief [Sir John Irwine]. Requests the matter be reported to the King; and that the second Ensign Thomas Hill be recommended to Daniel's lieutenancy. The eldest ensign John Kelly is already recommended for a lieutenancy in succession to Captain [Ronald] McKenzie, with Mr Hamil Wilson to be Ensign. Dated at Dublin Castle.
