Folios 183-184: Frederick Watkins, HMS Resource, Woolwich. Advises that he has examined the Ship's Books to find the Portuguese men as requested , and who have applied for their discharge as being subjects of Portugal. Confirms that the men are subjects of Portugal, are not married or settled in England and have not received the King's Bounty. Advises that at the time of their impressment, he had no reason to suppose they were foreigners but will discharge them as directed by the Admiralty.
