They cover all aspects of operations, administration and disarmament, and include Orders of Battle for 2nd TAF (Tactical Air Force), the wartime precursor of British Air Forces of Occupation (BAFO). A large proportion of the papers derives from the MREUs (Missing Research and Enquiry Units) and Missing Research and Enquiry Service (MRES), relating to their post-war work in Europe.
