Folios 174-175: Robert Winthrop, HMS Albacore, Carlisle Bay, Barbados. Reports his arrival 0n the 9 May 1796 from Madeira and reports he fell in with, after a 6 hour chase, and captured L'Athénienne, French National Corvette, mounting 14 four pounders and 83 men commanded by M Jervaise Lieutenant De Varisseaux.
