Folios 308-309: Francis Woolridge, HMS Fortune, Falmouth. Encloses a report by the Carpenter on the damage to the Main Mast as well as an answer to his letter from Charles Stirling, Captain, HMS Jason. Hopes the Admiralty will approve of his going to Plymouth.
Folio 310: enclosure with folios 308-309. Letter dated 29 April 1795 by Edward Hume, Carpenter, HMS Fortune, Falmouth. Report on the defects of the Main Mast of HMS Fortune which he believes happened during a heavy gale on 26 April 1795 as it was in sound condition when they left Plymouth.
Folios 311-312: enclosure with folios 308-309. Letter dated 29 April 1795 by Charles Stirling, Captain, HMS Jason, Falmouth, to Francis Woolridge, Captain, HMS Fortune. Replying to his letter of the same date in which Woolridge made representations about the condition of the Main Mast, agrees with his decision to return immediately to Plymouth.
