Folios 235-236: Isaac Wolley, Regulating Captain, York. Advises that Lieutenant Pearse has been sent to Hull with sixty nine men but has not heard anything from him and asks that he should be discharged from service, as his conduct is a disgrace. Lieutenant Hanmer attended a Sessions of the Wapentake of Bulmer. Updates on the number of men raised in the City and that he is expecting Returns from the Districts on the number of men wanting. Mentions William Dent and the Reverend Robert Pevison in the Wapentake of Bridforth at Thirsk who will only pay the Bounty of one guinea when thirty or forty men have been received there which he fears is to evade paying anymore that ten pounds penalty should not a sufficient number be enrolled. District of Wilton Beacon and Ouse and Derwent also mentioned. Adds a Post Script that Lieutenant Pearse has just arrived with the men all delovered but three, who he will take care to look after.
