Folios 197-198: Thomas Wolley, HMS Active, Portsmouth. Querying the Admiralty decision that he is only entitled to half pay from the date he arrived back in England. Petitions that he received on 17 February 1794, while on the Island of Domingo, a Commission, dated 19 December 1793, appointing him to the command of HMS Champion and to return to England as soon as possible. As a consequence he was superceded from HMS Goelan, and was unemployed on the island until he was able to get a passage home. at his own expense, arriving in England on 13 April 1794. Argues that as he was acting under Orders the whole time, he should be entitled to some kind Established pay. Rear Admiral John Ford also mentioned.
