Description

Folios 127-128. Letter from Lord Viscount Weymouth to the Earl of Buckingham regarding the latter's letter of 13 May 1778 and its enclosures. Weymouth signals the King's satisfaction that the Commander in Chief has taken care to provide for everything necessary and that Buckingham's determinations by the endorsements on those papers are extremely proper. He adds subsequent observations including: a preference for bread over biscuit for the troops in camp; for the augmentation plans not to include service restrictions; a query of the necessity for the appointment of a Judge Advocate and Provost Marshall. Dated at St James's.
