Folios 68-69. Letter from Richard Heron to William Knox Esquire referring to the latter's letter of 4 May 1778 detailing what passed in a conference between him and the Iron and Hemp manufacturer's deputies and desiring an opinion on the proposition intended to remove the objection made by the several traders and manufacturers interested in the Bills now before the British Parliament. Given the reasonableness and importance of the measures, Heron invites Knox to have bills drawn up in England and the drafts sent over as this will be the best mode of making clear what is expected from the respective Parliaments. Dated at Dublin Castle. [Covering letter at SP 63/460, ff 64-65].
