Folios 206-207: Charles White, HMS Favourite at the Nore. Has received three writs issued by Mr Bentham of Sheerness, also two affidavits accompanied them. States that William Labourne, voluntarily entered as an Ordinary Seaman on 14 June last, is 20 years old and has been paid the Bounty. He was taken from a vessel at the Nore as his Indenture of Apprenticeship did not correspond with how old he said he was. William Metcalfe was sent to HMS Sandwich on the 24 June. The Notice signed by William Fletcher, solicitor of Hyde Street, Bloomsbury is dated 7 August, the date received and although he refers to a previous one, this was never received. Requests Admiralty instructions. (Although states enclosing documents, no documents with letter).
