Folios 246-247: William Wolseley, HMS Lowestoffe, Barn Pool, Plymouth. Acknowledges receipt of Press Warrants for himself and his Lieutenants and his orders of 13 March 1796, delivered by Vice Admiral Philips Cosby, to take in convoy the Trade of this port into the Bristol and St Georges Channels and go on with the remainder as directed. Requests permission to assemble the convoy at the Isle of Man rather than in Liverpool as the ship nearly went aground there last time due to the"very intricate and dangerous entrance" into Liverpool.
