Folios 251-252: Francis Vesey, Garrison, Sheerness. Reports that on paying off HMS Comus yesterday, Robert Glouston late of HMS Goliath 232 now in HMS Comus, complained about the amount of pay and his rating. It would appear that in his move from one ship to another his rate has been changed. He complained of only being rated as Ordinary Seaman on HMS Goliath when he was doing the duties of an Able Seaman, on his former ship HMS Druid he was rated Able Seaman. Request he be paid as Able Seaman and Ship's Corporal for his time on HMS Goliath.
