Description

Folios 162-163: Clotworthy Upton, HMS Junon, Halifax. Covering letter for a letter to Vice Admiral Edward Thornbrough and his reply when he was in command of HMS Sibylle. That his agents Ommaney & Druce, in their letter of January last informing me, that the remuneration therein specified has been withheld until the Number and Quality of the passengers,. Mentions Major General Durrock, Major Parker, Lieutenant Gladwin and Cornet Hammersley & Servants of the 19th Dragoons. [Total 2 and half sides].

Folios 164-165: enclosure with folios 162-163. Clotworthy Upton, HMS Sibylle, Cove Harbour. In obedience to the order of the 11 March 1813 to receive on board HMS Sibylle at this port Brigadier General Davcock, his suite, servants and baggage, and when off the Bird Island to transfer them onto HMS Cygnet for passage to Quebec. [Total 2 and half sides].

Folios 166-167: enclosure with folios 162-163. Be so good Sir to refer to your Minute on Captain Sulivans letter of the7 March 1813 at the time when the following Officers were intended to proceed in the Woolwich - Vis. Major General Storen? £200, Brigadier General Darrock £200, Major Coore? £60 and Major Frulton? £60 - Total £520. General Darrock afterwards was ordered a passage in HMS Sibylle and £200 was recommended for the Captain of HMS Sibylle.

Folio 168: enclosure with folios 162-163. Edward Thornbrough, HMS Trent, Cork Harbour. Mentions a letter dated 10 April 1813 and the arrangement for the accommodation of Brigadier General Darrock and suite to Quebec.
