Description

Folios 431-432: George Vancouver, Hotwells, Bristol. Explains he is at Hotwells for his health. Is astonished to read the complaint about him from the Spanish Court and to read the Ambassador's letter. It must be due to a misunderstanding or mistranslation. He hopes that is sufficient but will come to Town if their Lordships feel it necessary.

Folio 433: enclosure with folios 431-432. Office memo. 8 January 1796. Asks that a letter from Vancouver regarding English deserters taken from a Spanish port be sent up. Vancouver already asked to report on this ?
