Folios 232-233: Sir Edward Thomas Troubridge, 12 Lower Seymour Street, Portman Square, London. States the case of John Hughes, Landsman, who was said to have been impressed by an officer from HMS Armide but who appears to have been impressed in Cork. Encloses an Indenture which was not produced at the time of impressment and explaining that as HMS Armide is now out of commission he is unable to obtain further details other than John Hughes answers the description in the Indenture [not enclosed].
Folios 234- 235: enclosure with folios 232-233. Letter dated 10 May 1815 by G L Trainer for A Peell, London, to John Barrow, the Admiralty. Enclosing the Indenture and Protection for John Hughes, Apprentice to David Davies of Camarthen, who was impressed on16 April 1813 at Cork by an Officer belonging to HMS Armide. An application for his release was made on 20 May 1813 but as HMS Armide had already sailed no steps for his release could be taken. Asking now for his immediate release. [Indenture and Protection not enclosed].
