Folios 224-225: John Tancock, HMS Conway, Plymouth. Responding to an Admiralty letter which says an error existed in the Report of Sailing and other Qualities of HMS Conway on 10 May 1815, says he misunderstood the printed form and that at no point has the ship been under canvas only. Asks for the point of qualification to be cancelled until the next report when he may have had the opportunity to try the experiment again.
