Folios 413-414: John Tailour, HMS Comus, Spithead. States that William Hastings, Boy late of HMS Alonzo and now on HMS Comus, having had leave from Thomas Dutton, Captain of HMS Alonzo, whilst at Deptford, to go on shore for 24 hours and on arrival at his mothers in London was taken very ill and was obliged to remain for a considerable time during which time he was marked as Run. He later joined HMS Enterprize [Enterprise] and was sent from her to HMS Thisbe and from there to HMS Namur, in consequence of HMS Alonzo being paid off and was drafted from her to HMS Comus on the 27 October 1814. Request the R be removed from him on the Ships Book. [Inc. summary of service inc. dates].
