Folios 404-405: Nicholas Tomlinson, Craven Hotel, Craven Street. States that he has been informed by Lord Melville, that directions have been given for the examination of his son, James Ward Tomlinson, previous to his admission into the Royal Naval College. He states that he has lodged with Mr Bicknell the solicitor of the Admiralty, security of £200, that his son, after finishing his education, will enter and continue in the Navy. Request an order for his son to be examined prior to his admission.
