Folios 359-360: John Tancock, HMS Bann, Chatham. Having 1 Sergeant, 1 Corporal, 1 Drummer and 20 Private Marines embarked on board HMS Bann from Headquarters in Chatham; and the establishment set down by the Principal Officers Commissioners of H.M. Navy, making the compliment only 19, exclusive of the Officers. Reports that there is good accommodation for an additional number, if it is their Lordships intention that the Establishment of that class of the Compliment shall be increased to the number now embarked besides the Officers.
