Folios 346-347: George Byng, 6th Viscount Torrington, HMS Warrior, at Sea. Reports that as Mr Basden, Purser on HMS Rota has been invalided, he has appointed Mr S J Bridgman, Clerk on HMS Warrior as Purser on HMS Rota, he has passed his Purser's Examination.
Folio 348: enclosure with folios 346-347. HMS Rota, at Sea. Letter dated 13 August 1814. From the Surgeon to the Captain, [Philip Somerville] on the health of Mr W B Basden, Purser on HMS Rota.
Folio 349: enclosure with folios 346-347. Philip Somerville, HMS Rota, at Sea. Dated 13 August 1814 Covering letter for the Surgeons report on Mr W B Basden and request he be surveyed.
Folio 350: enclosure with folios 346-347. Survey of Mr William Benge Basden, Purser on HMS Rota. Dated 14 August 1814 and signed Charles Malcolm - HMS Rhin, George Bentham - HMS Carnation and Adam Brown HMS Sapphire.
