Folios 237-238: Viscount George Byng Torrington, HMS Warrior off Reefness.
Reports that Midshipman W G Thompson has been ill for some time and the Surgeon stated that there was little chance of recovery on board ship. Rear Admiral Sir Graham Moore declined to order him to be discharged from the service but gave him leave to return home.
